FINALLY

... sure took me long enough, but I finally figured out why I could not get back onto my blog ...

I hadn't really done an awful lot of stitching in the past few months, but I finished a few little things. Somehow I don't have the "mojo" to get started with a large piece; instant gratification is where it's at for the time being.

I found the pattern for this pumpkin on a blog a few years ago but never got around to actually stitching it. I wish I could give credit  , but my print-out does not have enough info to get me back to the design.
(update: this is the blog the pattern came from: http://gazette94.blogspot.com/2010/09/citrouille.html)

These cuties were featured in NEEDLEPOINT NOW, Nov. 07

Our chapter offered this project for our July luncheon project. I had so much fun making them, I got a bit carried away and made 3 :-) ... I call the Santa on the right my "Mexican Santa" since I accidentally used the wrong DMC for his face and he ended up being "tanned".

Hardanger Needlebook

This is an adaptation of a Burda magazine pattern, which originally was a 3 x 3 squares sampler. I only had a small piece of fabric and again needed instant gratification, so I picked 2 of the 9 patterns and finished it off with two pieces of wool felt to hold a few needles ... maybe for the next Hardanger project.

I just found your blog, and have had a wonderful time scrolling through the past posts - you have some exquisite projects you have completed (and some still in progress) - I really enjoyed my visit today :)

Great santas! Are these patterns you can share? I'd live to make these for next Christmas!

Do you have the pattern for the Santa? The issue is not available to buy.
